To Report an Absence or Late Arrival: 

Please call the attendance office at 860-231-5000, ext. 6299, and leave a message including your name, your student’s name (please spell your student’s last name), and your contact phone number.

OR

Please email the attendance office at CHSattendance@whps.org and include your name, your student’s full name, and your contact phone number.

To Request Early Dismissal:

We understand that sometimes special circumstances arise, but please try to give the attendance office at least 30 minutes notice before a dismissal to process the request, find the student’s location, issue a dismissal pass, and inform the teacher.

• If your student is returning to school after an early dismissal, please remind them to sign in at the attendance office when they get back to school, before going to class. We collect doctor notes and other notes at this time, adjust powerschool as needed, and will issue a pass to class.
