ADVANCED PLACEMENT (AP) COURSES
Advanced Placement (AP) courses are approved by College Board and are designed for students to challenge themselves academically and set themselves apart in the college admission process. Students can earn college credit based upon the score they earn on the AP exam and the AP exam credit policy of their attending college. Additional benefits of taking AP courses and exams include fulfilling postsecondary graduation requirements early, being able to skip introductory or general education courses, and increasing the likelihood of earning a college degree on time, thereby saving money on tuition.
AP courses can help students acquire the skills and habits necessary to be successful in postsecondary education. High School AP course offerings are as follows:

It is expected that students who take an AP course will take the cumulative AP exam, which is proctored in May. There is a fee for each exam taken, and financial assistance is available to those who qualify.
